Speaker 1:welcome to episode 31 and I'm sitting here recording this the day before Thanksgiving in my home office in Colorado and for many of us today is a wind down day, the day before Thanksgiving, getting ready for the day ahead and I see Thanksgiving as a day of excess before the even bigger excesses of the end of the year, end of the quarter that's coming up. You know, tomorrow is a day to eat a lot, drink a lot, laugh a lot, catch up a lot, sleep a lot. Hopefully it's really just a bit of a blowout and it's our last chance to decompress before the craziness starts. At the end of the year. It's the last holiday before you get into the Christmas spirit, which for many is a bit of a dead period. Um, and I encourage you tomorrow to try and switch everything off from an electronics at work standpoint. Um, you know, if you can look, I get it. There's some roles where you do need to check from time to time if you're, if there's things going on. But you know, if you can, don't even look at emails , Slack messages , um, voicemails, wherever it might be, just put your phone in the drawer if you can forget about it and focus on family and friends. For me at this time, I'm really thankful for all of my friends in the sales world over my last 26 years in sales who are supporting me, cheer me on with what I'm doing right now with this podcast and other things. You know, I remember I actually had three sales jobs in the 90s and I'm still in touch with people from all three of those roles. Some have gone on to huge success in the sales world and, and some have even switched careers and completely forgotten about sales and find their sweet spot doing something completely different. And I'm still in touch with those people cause we connected as humans back in the day formed friendships, went through shared experiences and I'm thankful that I have those friendships going back so far. But it's not just the old ones, it's also the newer ones as well. For me, you know, I made the switch about seven or eight years ago , um, to come out of frontline selling and running sales teams to helping sales teams succeed. I made that switch in my career and through that switch, you know, I've had people support me and be with me and give me guidance and give me opportunities as well. And as I work on this new life that I have, I love seeing people take on new challenges , um, try new things, get out of their comfort zones. And then go and succeed, get Dre results by doing it, reach their goals and get better at their craft and our craft day by day, week by week going forward. So for all of you listening to this, thank you so much for your support. Thanks for subscribing to this podcast. Thanks for sharing it. Thanks for rating it and all the things that you do. I really do appreciate it and enjoy the time off. I'll be back on Monday.

It's no wonder that only about 50% of reps make quarter every year. To wrap up as Rick Kramer, SVP America's sales at Kenna security may or may not have one said training without implementation is just entertainment and prepare entertainment when Monaghan does it. So make sure you take action on what you learn and keep getting better every day. This world does not need more sales BS, so don't create anymore . Be great at the fundamentals. Be honest, be real.
